We can tell that feather hair extensions are currently extremely popular, because more and more celebrities are being spotted sporting them!
The first celebrity to really bring hair feathers into popularity was, of course, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Steven Tyler has been wearing feathers in his hair for a long time, but he’s recently started wearing the natural extensions rather than the clip on type. Steven wears bold extensions, and tends to favor stripes that really stand out in his hair.
Another celebrity who has been spotted wearing them often is Hilary Duff. She’s been seen wearing natural feathers in darker colors as a subtle complement to her current brown hair color.
Jennifer Love Hewitt hair feathers rock! She’s been one of the pioneers for the trend. Jennifer prefers bold colors, opting for shades of yellow and red in her medium brown hair.
Jessica Simpson also wears the style. She has golden blonde hair, and she prefer to wear subtle shades of tan and cream to match her hair, with accent colors like pink. Pink is a great color choice for blondes.
Ke$ha wore feathers in her hair to the Grammy Awards in 2011. She chose shades of gold and cream that would stand out stunningly in her medium blonde hair. She prefers the wilder look, choosing colors that really stand out from her hair color.
Miley Cyrus is seen sporting feathers in her music video for the son “Can’t Be Tamed”. Miley went with very dark black feathers that stood out very well against her lovely caramel colored hair. The video was even themed around birds, and she is referred to as “Avis Cyrus” in the beginning of the video.
Cassie Scerbo is a new talent who stars with Justin Bieber in the movie “Never Say Never.” She chose lovely natural shades of auburn that were a nice contrast to her long blonde hair.
Allison Sweeny, who plays Sami Brady on the NBC soap opera “Days of our Lives” and appears on “The Biggest Loser”, has made a video for YouTube that shows how to install these extensions. Allison prefers subtle shades, choosing colors like tan and cream along with pink for her blonde hair.
Other celebrities who have been seen wearing feathers in their hair include Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez (aka J-Lo), Solange, and even Beyonce! As you can tell, some of today’s hottest stars have jumped on the bandwagon, and it’s likely this trend will last for quite a while longer before it starts to lose steam.
